Trump: “Putin’s ceasefire statement was hopeful but incomplete!”

Washington, D.C.: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that while President Putin’s Ceasefire Statement was hopeful, it was not entirely complete. Trump expressed hope that Russia would take the right steps toward a peace agreement.

According to international media reports, Trump made these comments during a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House. During their discussion, Trump emphasized his willingness to engage in direct talks with President Putin and stressed the urgency of ending the Russia-Ukraine war swiftly.

“I would like to speak with President Putin. We need to bring a fast resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war,” Trump remarked. He further added that U.S. officials are discussing the Ukraine issue with Russia with great seriousness.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova responded to U.S. involvement, stating that “decisions regarding Ukraine will be made by Moscow, not Washington.” She reaffirmed Russia’s stance that it alone will determine the course of the conflict.

At the same time, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stressed the need for increased arms production, stating, “We need to manufacture more weapons. We are behind Russia and China.”

On the other hand, President Putin’s Ceasefire Statement reaffirmed that “Russia is ready for a ceasefire, but long-term peace must be established through it.” Responding to the U.S. proposal, Putin stated, “We agree with suggestions to end hostilities. Russia supports a 30-day ceasefire with Ukraine.”

According to news agencies, President Putin’s Ceasefire Statement also included a note of appreciation for Trump. Putin said, “Perhaps I will have to call President Trump. We need to discuss the 30-day ceasefire with the U.S.”
