Shahbaz Sharif calls for national unity to overcome Pakistan’s challenges

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed concern that the country’s honor and dignity are being jeopardized, stating that future generations will not forgive these actions. He urged that personal ego should be subordinated to the national interest, and religious scholars must play a role in eliminating terrorism.

Addressing the ceremony held in Islamabad to mark the blessings of Pakistan by Allah, the Prime Minister emphasized that the creation of Pakistan was nothing short of a miracle, a divine gift from God. He noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces are sacrificing their lives for the protection of the nation and that the country faces numerous challenges, including terrorism, which requires action from religious leaders to help eradicate it.

In his speech, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan came into existence through immense sacrifices, and it was a gift from Allah given to the nation during the holy month of Ramadan. He referred to Pakistan’s creation as a miraculous event in history, highlighting its significance as a divine blessing.

He further mentioned that after 77 years, the nation must come together in unity and address the challenges faced by Pakistan, whether they are economic, social, or security-related. He emphasized that national unity is essential, and the entire nation is calling out for collective action to resolve these issues.

Shahbaz Sharif underscored that it is the responsibility of every citizen to contribute to solving Pakistan’s problems, with a special emphasis on the role of religious scholars. He urged them to take a leading role in fighting terrorism and to act as guides in this critical time.

The Prime Minister pointed out that while the Pakistan Armed Forces continue to make sacrifices, there is division within the country, and personal interests are being prioritized over national welfare. He stated that the nation must decide to put Pakistan’s broader interests above personal desires and egos. He stressed that such a decision would be the greatest service to Pakistan and its people.

Shahbaz Sharif also pointed out that Pakistan is endowed with vast natural resources, including treasures worth billions of dollars hidden in its mountains. He explained that terrorism serves the purpose of preventing Pakistan from accessing these resources, as certain enemies and agents do not want Pakistan to prosper.

He further stated that national unity is essential to eliminate terrorism and that everyone must come together in solidarity to end the bloodshed. The Prime Minister reiterated that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s military personnel must not go in vain and that prioritizing personal interests over national welfare is a betrayal of these sacrifices.

Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that with unity and cooperation, Pakistan can overcome its economic and social challenges. He called on the nation to work together, particularly the youth, to build a stronger and prosperous future for Pakistan. He mentioned that through the Youth Program, significant steps have been taken to equip young people with skills, and resources will be allocated to ensure their development and well-being.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the need to end religious intolerance and division within the country. He warned that some elements are attempting to destabilize Pakistan for their own benefit. He urged the nation to place the national interest above personal egos and work towards a unified Pakistan, emphasizing that Pakistan, as the only Islamic nuclear power, is invincible and cannot be threatened.

Finally, Shahbaz Sharif discussed how terrorism seeks to prevent Pakistan from utilizing its vast resources. He pointed out that these resources could help Pakistan eliminate its debts and achieve prosperity. He noted that the sources of financial support for terrorists are known, and Pakistan must remain united to counter this threat.
