Pakistan Army Concludes Operation “Bunyanum Marsoos” with Strategic Precision
The Pakistan Armed Forces have officially concluded Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a high-intensity, multidomain military response to acts of Indian aggression, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation, spanning from April 22 to May 10, 2025, was part of a broader conflict termed Marka-e-Haq and came to an end shortly after a rare ceasefire agreement between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both sides.
In its detailed statement, ISPR stated that the operation was launched in retaliation to Indian military actions on the night of May 6–7, which resulted in the tragic deaths of Pakistani civilians, including women and children. Pakistan had pledged accountability and has now delivered a measured but decisive military response.
The ISPR expressed gratitude to the Almighty for divine assistance and paid homage to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives. The Armed Forces commended the bravery, professionalism, and sacrifices of personnel across the Army, Navy, and Air Force who ensured the success of the operation.
A special mention was made of the unity shown by the Pakistani nation, especially its youth, who supported the military both on the ground and in the information sphere. The country’s media was also recognized for countering misinformation campaigns and maintaining national morale.
The Armed Forces thanked Pakistan’s scientific community and the diplomatic corps for their significant roles, along with the political leadership for making timely, critical decisions. The Prime Minister’s leadership was particularly noted for navigating the nation through a period of high tension.
Operation *Bunyanum Marsoos* was described as a textbook case of joint operations across land, air, sea, cyber, and space, combining real-time intelligence, advanced targeting, and swift execution.
Key Indian military assets were struck using Pakistan’s Fatah series precision-guided missiles and long-range loitering munitions, targeting installations that had directly contributed to attacks on Pakistani civilians.
Cyber operations were also carried out, temporarily disrupting Indian military infrastructure. Despite its overwhelming capabilities, Pakistan emphasized that its response was proportionate, restrained, and carefully calibrated to avoid civilian casualties.
ISPR also noted a spike in cross-border terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the eastern operations, pointing to India’s role in sponsoring instability.
In conclusion, the operation was hailed as a demonstration of Pakistan’s resolve, resilience, and national unity in defending its sovereignty. The military vowed that any future threats would be met with similar resolve and comprehensive force.
