Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has revealed that during the time when he was a child, there was an attempt to abduct him from the Prime Minister’s residence. In his remarks during the National Assembly session, Bilawal Bhutto stated, “When I was a child, an attempt was made to abduct me from the Prime Minister’s house.”
He went on to express that terrorism is not a new issue in Pakistan, emphasizing the significant toll the country has faced due to it. He said, “I have been witnessing terrorism since I was a child. Benazir Bhutto, my mother, was martyred because of terrorism.” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari added that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had formulated the National Action Plan, and now, his father, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, could devise a National Action Plan 2.
He highlighted that forces aiming to destabilize the country are united in their efforts. “After the APS tragedy, we put politics aside for the national interest and endorsed the National Action Plan. We had significantly weakened the terrorists,” said Bilawal Bhutto.
Discussing the current situation, Bilawal Bhutto said, “We are going through a more dangerous phase than before. Terrorists are exploiting our lack of unity, and attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are on the rise. Each new attack is more perilous than the last. These terrorists have no ideology, no politics.”
He continued, “Terrorists who kill in the name of religion have no religion. Their goal is to spread terror, not to create an Islamic state. International forces are financially supporting these terrorists, who murder innocent citizens and then provoke countries like China.”
Bilawal Bhutto called for the support of provincial leaders, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to work towards peace and justice for the people of Balochistan who are demanding their rights. He added, “The KP government has more responsibilities than simply focusing on releasing prisoner number 804. If they want to engage in real politics, they need to focus on other matters as well.”
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further stated that from tribal areas to Peshawar, there is a dire need for development projects. “We have the ability and capacity in this house to resolve all issues, including terrorism, by working together. While we continue with our politics, we must strive for unity on national issues to solve the problems,” he concluded.
Lastly, he addressed the continuous focus on prisoner number 804, saying, “They always talk about releasing prisoner number 804. When President Zardari speaks about Palestine, they bring up prisoner number 804. Our voters and supporters are not concerned with prisoner number 804.
