The U.S. investigative agency FBI has released details regarding the deportation of a Pakistani citizen, stating that Syed Rizvi was identified as a national security threat by American intelligence sources. Following this determination, he was sent back to Pakistan.
On Thursday evening, the FBI issued a statement on the social media platform X, emphasizing that U.S. agencies are working together to identify and deport individuals who may pose a risk to national security.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) also confirmed in an official statement that 56-year-old Syed Rizvi was deported under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
According to the statement, Syed Rizvi had legally entered the U.S. through New York in 2017. However, due to violations of immigration laws, his residency status was revoked, rendering him an illegal immigrant. He was arrested on January 31 during a routine traffic check in Dallas, Texas, while an immigration judge had already issued his deportation order on January 24.
The FBI reiterated that individuals residing illegally in the U.S. and posing a public safety risk would not be granted any leniency.
This action comes at a time when FBI Director Kash Patel has announced stricter measures against global threats, stating, “Anyone involved in harming Americans will be tracked down, no matter where they are in the world.”
